This Privacy Policy describes how MindyQ (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the MindyQ mobile application (the “App”). MindyQ is designed for both children and adults, including students and teachers using the classroom features.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect data necessary for the App to function.

1.1. Account Information

• Email address (for login and authentication)
• Display name
• Username
• User role (student or teacher)
• Optional profile metadata

1.2. Quiz Data

• Quiz progress
• Quiz sessions
• Answers, scores, and completion status
• Achievements, badges, and XP/level progression

1.3. Classroom Features

• Teachers can assign quizzes to students
• Students’ progress is shared with the assigned teacher
• We store class membership (class ID and student ID)

1.4. Uploaded Images (Teacher Quizzes)

Teachers may upload images for custom quiz questions. These are stored securely in Supabase storage. We do not analyze or share uploaded images.

1.5. Automatically Collected Data

We may collect device type, app version, and basic diagnostic logs. We do not collect advertising identifiers or tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and manage your account
• Save quiz progress
• Show badges and XP levels
• Deliver classroom assignments
• Improve performance and troubleshoot errors

We do not sell data, share data with advertisers, or track users outside the app.

3. Legal Basis (GDPR)

• Contract: To provide app functionality
• Consent: For uploading images
• Legitimate Interest: Security and app improvement

4. How We Store and Protect Data

All data is securely hosted in Supabase, a GDPR-compliant provider. Security measures include encryption, row-level security, secure authentication, and limited data access.

5. Children’s Privacy

The app is suitable for both children and adults. Children under applicable age limits must use the app under teacher guidance or parental permission. We do not collect unnecessary personal data from children or serve advertisements.

6. Data Sharing

We only share data with:

• Supabase – hosting, authentication, database, and file storage.

No other third parties receive user data.

7. Data Retention

We retain data while your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.
